Over the past 50 years, the Earth's temperature has risen at a rate unmatched in millennia, and atmospheric CO2 concentrations are the highest in 2 million years. Scientific consensus has long since established that the main cause of these upheavals is human activity.

The goals

The way forward is clear: cut more than 40 percent of net greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and reduce them to zero by 2050. Action by business and finance to achieve this goal is critical, to preserve the Earth's health, make the economy thrive, and act so that we can deserve the respect of future generation.

We want to do our part to counter the ongoing climate crisis. That is why, as a first step, we formally give climate neutrality the same priority as profit by incorporating it into the corporate purpose of our bylaws, thus assigning a new mandate to management as an enabling condition for action. Here is the shared purpose among the members:

The company commits to implement a progressive evolution of its business and operational model towards a zero climate gas economy, in line with European climate neutrality goals and national green transition goals.

1. We are committed to envision and implement a credible corporate decarbonization pathway, prioritizing the reduction of direct emissions and emission from the entire value chain;

2. We initiate a radical collaborative movement among companies that innovate, exchange ideas, strategies, best practices and tools, and want to be up-to-date on the best available knowledge and solutions, grounded in sound science;

3. We consistently and fairly communicate our initiatives and report on our achievements in a clear and transparent manner
