Join the movement of companies committed together to achieving climate neutrality
It’s time to act
The urgency and necessity of societal change to tackle the climate crisis is clearer than ever before.
The European Union is committed to reduce emissions by 55% by 2030 and to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
To reach this objective, the business world must take action.
Commitment and sharing
CO2alition is based on two pillars:
formalisation of the climate neutrality commitment in the company’s bylaws
a training journey and the participation in a community that share strategies, best practices, tools, available solutions and science-based technologies
The 5 themes of the 2024 program
1
GOVERNANCE ON CLIMATE RELATED TOPICS
including a climate-neutral purpose within the corporate purpose of its bylaws gives this goal equal importance to profit.
2
CARBON FOOTPRINT AND AND REDUCTION TARGETS
Carbon Footprint analysis provides an overview of the emissions and allows to set specific reduction targets. Member companies master their footprint or are in the process of doing so and have set reduction targets in line with the Paris Accords and European targets.
3
TRANSITION AWAY FROM FOSSIL FUELS
the commitment signed during COP28 is an additional incentive for companies to implement the transition to a renewables-based model, and companies commit to outlining an energy strategy consistent with international and European goals.
4
SCOPE 3 AND VALUE CHAIN
Scope 3 accounts for the most significant percentage of emissions for most companies, so it becomes critical to map their ecosystem, analyze their impacts along the supply chain, and define a plan for engaging their partners.
5
ADVOCACY E STEWARDSHIP
companies have the task of inspiring and activating an ever-widening network of actors-from local communities to decision makers-in the decarbonization process to generate a cascading effect and thus amplify the positive impact.
